Corporate lawyer Janhavi Gadkar, who was arrested for mowing down two people in Mumbai allegedly under the influence of alcohol, has moved a suburban Kurla Magistrate court challenging the applicability of the charge of culpable homicide not amounting to murder against her.
"We have filed a 560-page charge sheet against the accused. We have made it a watertight case," said an official of the police department.
A sessions court in Mumbai on Wednesday granted bail to 35-year-old corporate lawyer Janhavi Gadkar, who was arrested for allegedly crashing her car into a taxi under the influence of alcohol and killing two persons in June.
This was her second bail application that was rejected by the Kurla metropolitan magistrate's court.
The personnel accompanying Chaudhary have said his behaviour is "very unusual and he is in deep shock" and that he just eats "occasionally", the lawyer claimed.
